We invite you to a field day at a dairy farm

LLKC, in collaboration with the dairy farm SIA “Vecsiljāņi”, the Farmers' Council and the Latvian Dairy Farmers' Union, invites you to attend a demonstration field day in dairy farming on the use of genomic tests to promote genetic progress in the dairy herd.

Field Day will be held October 12 in two parts from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Home – in the Vecbebri Technical School complex in Bebri parish, Aizkraukle municipality, continued – SIA “Vecsiljāņi” at the “Dimanti” cowshed in Bebri parish, Aizkraukle municipality.

The field day will provide an opportunity to learn about the use of genomic tests in herd selection and selection processes, determining predicted and realized productivity and breeding value, accelerating the genetic progress of the breeding nucleus, as well as to get acquainted with the dairy cow barn “Dimanti” of SIA “Vecsiljāņi”. Farm owners, livestock industry managers and industry specialists will share their work experience.
