We met with the Minister of Agriculture Kaspars Gerhards and Rigondas Pārslas Krieviņš

On June 26, the LPKS Latraps association “Farmers' Parliament” (ZSA) met with the Minister of Agriculture Kaspars Gerhards and Rigondas Pārslas Krieviņš to jointly discuss the financing of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for the 2021-2027 period, financing for sectors, rural development measures, direct payments, environmental and climate measures, differentiation of basic income support, support for small farmers and coupled income support. We will add the current position of the ZSA in the next weekly member post.

The discussion was attended by the Board of the Agricultural Association of Latvia, Minister of Agriculture Kaspars Gerhards, Head of the Minister's Office Jānis Eglīts, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Pārsla Rigonda Krieviņa, Director of the Rural Development Support Department Liene Jansone, Director of the Market and Direct Support Department Zigmārs Ķikāns, Valters Bruss, Kaspars Antīpins, Aigars Zadiņš, Edgars Ruža.
