Five seminars were organized for 220 farmers in Bauska, Jelgava, Dobele, Riga and Limbaži districts on the implementation of environmental requirements on farms, especially in environmentally sensitive areas. At the end of the project, a conference was organized, where responsible officials from the Ministries of Environment and Agriculture, as well as other institutions, were informed about the project conclusions and necessary solutions.
The project has ensured an increase in farmers' competence regarding environmental requirements, their implementation in practice, and during the project, proposals for improvements in regulatory enactments have been prepared and submitted, and information exchange between the parties involved has been ensured.
The project was financially supported by the Latvian Environmental Protection Fund – LVL 9988.
