Research into efficient heat generation and supply solutions in covered areas
Project objectives:
– To develop energy-efficient technology suitable for Latvian climatic conditions with an integrated heat pump (air-to-water) and solar energy collector;
– To carry out the manufacture of an experimental structure for the production of heat energy for heating covered areas (air thermoregulation), for the accumulation of heat energy and the use of residual heat energy for the processing – drying of primary agricultural and forest products;
– Conduct research, analyze the results obtained and compare the operating parameters of the developed collectors with an integrated heat pump (air-to-water) with the indicators of existing structures;
– Conduct research into the possibilities of heat energy accumulation and electricity generation, the results of which will be verified through practical application for periodic air thermoregulation of covered areas;
– To carry out experimental development of a demonstrator model of the technologies developed as a result of the research and their long-term testing in real covered greenhouse areas.
