The project was launched in 2004, initiated by the Adult Education Center of the Ministry of Education of Latvia.
Project partners – nine institutions from eight different EU countries.
The overall goal of the ProVoTrain project was to promote the sustainable development of rural areas by improving the quality of continuing education systems and practices.
The aim of the project was to develop a common assessment method – a professional portfolio – in the Member States to be used in vocational education, in order to compare skills, knowledge, competences and qualifications acquired in different countries and systems.
The role of the Farmers' Council in the project was to adapt the project to the needs of the agricultural sector, disseminate information about project activities, and involve agricultural entrepreneurs as potential users of further education in the project processes.
Project funding – 75% Leonardo da Vinci program, 25% – co-financing by the project implementer. Total funding amount of the Farmers' Assembly project activities – EUR 10,175.
