The Farmers' Parliament, in cooperation with eight other partners – the Latvian State Forestry Institute “Silava”, AS “Latvijas valsts meži”, the Hunters' Association “BĀRTAVA”, the Latvian Forest Owners' Association, the association “HUNTING CLUB ĒRGĻI”, the agency “Meža pētīšanas stacija”, the hunters' club “Īle” and the hunters' club “Ķepainis” – has started implementing the project “"Development of a digital tool for managing the hunting process and information flow, improving public health and safety."

The project is implemented within the framework of the State and European Union support measure “Cooperation” under sub-measure 16.1 “Support for the implementation of projects of the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability working groups on agricultural productivity and sustainability”.

The aim of the project is to develop a digital tool compatible with state information systems for the management of the hunting process and the flow of information, which would reduce the administrative burden for organizing and managing the hunting process, promote the improvement of public health and safety, create prerequisites for optimal forest management and hunting farm planning, as well as reduce the risks associated with damage to game animals and their diseases in agriculture and forestry.

The following activities will be carried out during the project:

1. You are presenting a digital tool to organize electronic documentation and management of the hunting process, which would significantly improve the flow, quality, and reliability of information, which would be important for both hunters and society as a whole.

2. Conduct research on effective hunting management needs and determine the most successful ways of optimizing and providing them.

3. Provide opportunities to electronically collect and exchange data based on defined needs, which is compatible with other information systems and ensures the unity of products in the field.

4. Test the developed digital tool in a real environment, ensure its suitability for widespread use, and eliminate possible shortcomings.
