European Social Fund (ESF) project “Knowledge, Skills and Cooperation – the Key for New Projects” (07.2006 – 11.2006)

30 rural NGO leaders and activists were educated in training courses on project development and management, in order to raise their capacities to apply for EU funding. Rural NGOs from 10 regions of Latvia participated in the project. The training courses inculded theorethical and practical training, and at the end of the program the participants developed their own project proposals, ready for submit to funding institutions

 

At the end of the project a Project Exchange took place, where the participants from various NGOs and funding institutions shared their experience on project development, management and implementation. Also, the funding institutions received feedback from NGOs on the procedures of grant competitions.

The project also included development of methodology and training materials.
