Basic agricultural knowledge courses in Valmiera

The Valmiera consulting office of the Latvian Rural Consulting and Education Center invites entrepreneurs to attend training, offering a course in basic agricultural knowledge as part of the professional development education program.

During the training, students will learn the following topics: business methods in agriculture; basic knowledge of crop and livestock farming, soil cultivation and plant protection; basic knowledge of accounting and production plan development.

Duration of training – 170 hours. Lectures, practical training and development of the final thesis will be led by LLKC specialists. Students will be able to gain practical knowledge in the best farms in our region, as well as devote a lot of time to independent work, developing a plan for the development and production of their own farm. At the end of the course, there will be a defense of the developed work – production plan, receiving a certificate for acquiring the necessary knowledge in the field of agriculture. The acquired knowledge and the certificate open up opportunities to attract co-financing from EU projects for the development of farms.

The training will take place from February 22 to April 28. Theoretical training will take place at Mūrmuižas Street 9, Valmiera (2nd floor), practical training will be held at Vidzeme regional farms.
