Conference "Opportunities and Challenges of Family Farms"
Latvian Farmers' Federation (LZF) in cooperation with the Latvian Association of Local Governments and the State Rural Network (VLT) October 30, 2014 Organized by Iecava conference "Opportunities and challenges of family farms", asThe goal is to strengthen cooperation between farmers and municipalities on issues of agricultural product production and sales, developing family farms in rural Latvia.

The year 2014 is celebrated worldwide as the International Year of Family Farms. In Latvia, family farms play a major role in the development of local communities, so the conference will discuss the opportunities and challenges of family farms, development perspectives, cooperation with municipalities, the importance of cooperation, the development of rural areas, and the impact of government decisions on the well-being of rural residents.

Farmers, local government leaders and representatives, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture (MA) and the Ministry of Environment and Regional Development (MARAM) are invited to participate in the conference.
