Courses for supervisors of dairy cattle herds

The Latvian Rural Advisory and Education Center is organizing practical training courses for A and B method supervisors in dairy herds on October 28 of this year at 9:00 a.m.

The lecturers will be:

*Anita Siliņa, Head of the Livestock Competence Center of the Latvian Agricultural University; Mairis Grosbergs, Owner of the dairy farm “Dukāti”. Topic: Basic principles of milk sampling. Factors affecting milk quality. Testing and proper operation of milking equipment. Automatic feeding technology for dairy cattle at the dairy farm “Dukāti” in Vītiņi parish, Auce municipality.

* Indra Eihvalde, LLU MPS “Vecauce” specialist. Topic: Milk production accounting program for accurate acquisition of monitoring data. Evaluation of milk sample analysis results.

The courses will take place at the “Dukāti” summer camp in Vītiņi parish, Auce municipality, and at the LLU MPS “Vecauce”. Departure from the LLKC, Rīgas Street 34, Ozolnieki municipality, Ozolnieki parish.

The courses are financed from EU funds. Participants must pay a fee of 7 (seven) euros for the completion of the course, which is not financed from EU funds.
