Farmers meet with investors about possible long-term sale of straw for bioethanol production
On November 22 of this year (Wednesday), at 9:00-11:00, the Farmers' Assembly, in cooperation with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Latvian Agricultural Association, is organizing the second meeting with representatives of the Baltic Bioethanol business, who want to build a bioethanol plant in the Jelgava region using cereal straw as raw material.
The project would involve building a factory in the Jelgava area within 2-3 years. The representatives are interested in the possibility of purchasing straw from nearby farmers, as well as selling the field fertilizer generated during the production process for field fertilization or biogas production.
The meeting will take place in Ozolnieki, in the Great Hall of the Latvian Cultural Center. Please register your participation in advance by e-mail:martins.trons@zemniekusaeima.lv or by calling mobile 29805456
