Scientific-practical conference “Balanced Agriculture”

Continuing the tradition of the annual conference, the Faculty of Agriculture of the Latvian University of Agriculture and the Latvian Society of Agronomists invite colleagues from all agricultural scientific institutions, specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture, extension service employees, farmers' associations, business leaders, service providers and, of course, future agricultural specialists to meet at their Alma Mater in February 2015.

The conference will take place on February 19 and 20, 2015 at the premises of the Latvian University of Agriculture at Lielā Street 2, Jelgava.

The purpose of the conference. Popularization of the latest scientific achievements and practical experience and exchange of ideas on sustainable farming in rural Latvia.

On the conference agenda A plenary session is planned, followed by work in the sections on agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry. On the second day of the conference, reports on the impact of GHG emissions on agriculture and the possibilities for their reduction will be presented. Poster reports will be placed in the foyer of the auditorium.
There will also be technology and innovation demonstrations.

Conference agenda

Conference participants will receive a collection of papers. The collections of papers from the previous three years are posted CAB Abstracts and AGRICULTURE databases, as well as the description and online address are included in the databases created by the LLU library.
Registration fee – 25.00 EUR per person. This fee includes participation in the conference, coffee breaks and a collection of articles.
If the manuscript for the conference papers has been prepared by a team of authors, then this fee is credited as a participation fee for one of the authors.
