From May 25 to 27, livestock breeders from Uzbekistan visited Latvia as part of the Breedexpo2 project.

Thanks to J. Ločmelis, Chairman of the Council of the “Mazdzērvītes” and LPKS “Piena loģistika” for showing his farm, K. Ādams for introducing the Cattle Auction House, and V. Štencelis for his story about dairy and beef cattle breeding at SIA “Bruzilas AV”.

Meanwhile, on May 27, at the Ministry of Agriculture, the Head of the Animal Husbandry and Breeding Department, Gita Jansone, presented the Latvian agricultural sector in figures to the guests from Uzbekistan, Olita Vecuma-Veco, Senior Expert of the Animal Health and Veterinary Medicines Department, spoke about the epidemiological situation with the cattle population in Latvia, and representatives of the Food and Veterinary Service, Tatjana Pastare and Kristīne Miškina, introduced Latvia's animal welfare requirements during transportation and the export of animals from Latvia to Uzbekistan.
