Privacy policy of the association "Farmers' Council"

The Privacy Policy defines how the Association "Farmers' Council" (hereinafter referred to as ZSA) (Reg. No. 40008042411) uses information and how you, as a ZSA member, cooperation partner or visitor to events organized by ZSA, can protect your confidentiality.

! ZSA does not use copies of personal data, only information about the member as a legal entity is used. The stored member data information is used only for the purposes of ensuring the operation of ZSA.

By using ZSA services, you are entrusting us with your information. This privacy policy is designed to help members, partners, or visitors to ZSA events understand what information we collect, why we do it, and how we use it. It is very important, so we hope you will take the time to read this document carefully.

The information you provide is used to help the association's employees understand what you do, what agricultural sector you operate in, and what region you are located in, as well as to prepare reports and statements on the activities implemented by the Association for project monitoring institutions.

Aggregated information

  1. ZSA collects certain information about its members. When registering as a member, you will be asked to provide information about yourself and your farm:

    • Name

    • Last name

    • Farm name

    • Farm registration number

    • Legal and postal address of the farm

    • Phone number and email address for contact

    • When you pay your membership fee, ZSA may collect and process information about your farm's bank payment account and banking institution.

  2. ZSA collects information about participants and visitors to events organized by the association to ensure compliance with project monitoring regulations required by law:

    • Event visitor's name and surname

    • Represented company, organization, contact information

  3. Participants are photographed and filmed at events organized by the ZSA.
  4. Within the framework of ZSA projects, member surveys are conducted for research purposes, in which information about the member may be used.

Use of Aggregated Information

  1. The information that ZSA collects from all members is used to analyze the situation in agriculture by region, to offer the necessary seminars or training programs, to develop new services and to offer the necessary information as needed. The collected information is also used to offer members personalized content in the form of ZSA magazines and promotional magazines.

  2. ZSA may use your email address to inform you about news in the agricultural sector, our services, for example, to notify you about upcoming seminars or trainings.

  3. The visual information (filmed and photographed materials) collected by the ZSA are used to promote ZSA activities on the Internet or in printed materials, including the ZSA color magazine.

  4. ZSA does not use copies of personal data, only information about member as a legal entityThe stored member data information is used only for the purposes of ensuring the operation of ZSA.

  5. ZSA processes member information on its servers located in Latvia.

Accessing and updating member information

  1. You agree that all data you provide will be stored in the ZSA database and server.
  2. Data describing a member's farm will be stored as long as the farm/company is a member of ZSA.

  3. Regardless of when you joined ZSA, our goal is to provide members with the opportunity to update or change information about their farm by visiting the ZSA website and updating their information in the 'for members' section.

Providing personal identifying data is a prerequisite for using ZSA services, taking into account that the email address is your property and in the event of a dispute, you must be able to prove your rights.

In accordance with Article 13 of REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Measures taken by the ZSA to ensure information security

  1. Member information may only be accessed by ZSA office employees who need to know the information in order to work with it on behalf of ZSA. Office employees must comply with the confidentiality requirements set out in the contract. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action or dismissal.

  2. Photos from seminars and working groups are used only for the needs of the ZSA, including for creating a magazine, preparing news and using it in an electronic environment, and informing other members.

Compliance with policies and cooperation with regulatory authorities

ZSA regularly reviews its compliance with the Privacy Policy. Upon receipt of a formal written complaint, we will contact the person making the complaint to determine further action. To investigate any complaints about the transfer of member information that we are unable to resolve directly with the individual member.
